Biography

Born in a Non- musical background, Dj Mazzr had an inquisitive quest for music knowledge from child hood. Every melodic tune he heard made him smile . During his early teenage years, with many pop artists as his role models , he cherished the ocean of sound. Ever since he stepped into the music Industry his role and contribution as a DJ was a fruitful & powerful experience. From the year 2002-2006, he has been winning many awards consecutively which include awards like *India's 3rd best and 2nd best DJ and has also won the prestigious award of India’s sexiest DJ and India’s Best DJ attitude award . *He was also awarded by Nokia India for the Best Remix of ‘Nokia N Series Tune’ He started his main music career with Fusion Tech (MAZZR) in 2006. In 2008 he entered a remix competition held by STEREO FX RECORDS -South Africa and with more than a 100 producers taking part in the competition, he won the competition and was personally awarded by Amythest (New York's famous vocalist and artist) and Gulio Maddaloni with the best remix. After satisfying outputs here in India, He decided it was time to venture out and establish His name on an International Platform. His music was selected by Stereo FX Records in South Africa and London and he got into an agreement with them. This positioned him amongst an array of top International music producers and also made him the first solo artist from Chennai to be placed in this league. Once his winning remix was selected, it was released on Beatport . He was then ready with his first EP known as “Rainbow Night”. This first single of his, created waves all over and was a featured release on Beatport for about a month. At this juncture, Joe Fisher and Gulio Maddaloni were belting out his “Rainbow night” EP in their main sets. Having performed on Ableton Live for about two years and with his mounting studio success , High profile DJ gigs religiously followed suit. He cemented his reputation during his weekly sessions in chennai and produced subliminal vibes with Ableton Live. During the 2010 “My Fav DJ” Awards held in India, with the House Music Category having the highest number of DJs that participated, he was nominated amongst the top 3 house DJs and was Ranked 2nd place in that category and Ranked 4th place amongst India’s top 100 DJs. While performing , he is armed with loads of energy and confidence and focuses on spicing up the dance floor. Also well known for his promo remixes, which are being spun by various DJ’s in India and abroad. His music collection consists of the best international releases which other’s might find hard to get their hands on. The uniqueness of Mazzr’s tracks would be the fact that he chooses to edit every track which he thinks would suit him best. His honesty and realistic approach towards music is sure to set new standards in this ever growing industry. This self-proclaimed workaholic has several projects coming up.
